  • 2 table spoons oil
  • 2 table spoons fresh ginger root, peeled and grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 4 cups of water
  • 2 cups basmati rice
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 large lime

Preparation Method of Ginger Citrus Rice Recipe

  1. In saucepan over medium heat, heat oil until very hot, but not smoking.
  2. Add ginger root and ground cumin and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add 4 cups water and bring to a boil.
  4. Stir in rice and salt.
  5. Reduce heat to low; cover and cook 15 to 18 minutes until all water is absorbed
  6. and rice is tender.
  7. Stir in lime juice.
