How To Make Banana Nut Bread

Ingredients for Nut Bread Recipe


  • 1/2 cup ghee (butter can also be used)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 ripe bananas mashed
  • 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Preparation Method of Nut Bread Recipe


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In microwave, Heat ghee (or butter) till slightly melted. 
  2. Add sugar and mix well. Beat eggs in separate bowl and add them to mixture, set aside.
  3. In another bowl sift, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together.
  4. Gradually stir in 1st mixture until completely mixed.
  5. Add mashed bananas and then chopped nuts and raisins.
  6. Blend well. Pour into well greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.
  7. Bake at 375F for about 45-50 minutes, or until brown on top and done.
  8. Remove from pan. Serve warm.
